TB Forum \u2013 Institutional platform for community engagement under NTEP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

It has been envisaged as an important mechanism for facilitating community engagement, by way of providing a platform for the community and the programme to come together and deliberate on various aspects of the programme. TB Forums are established at National, State and District levels and are suggested at sub-district levels also.<\/p>\n\n

Objectives of the TB Forum<\/p>\n\n

\n\t
To engage with policymakers and implementers to ensure justice, rights and dignity of TB patients for effective service delivery.<\/li>\n\t
To supplement and complement government initiatives to enforce TB patient- friendly law, policy and programs.<\/li>\n\t
To reduce stigma and discrimination and ensure social security of TB patients, survivors and their families.<\/li>\n\t
To improve awareness on various government schemes, provisions, facilities available for TB patients and to improve treatment literacy and adherence among TB patients<\/li>\n\t
To engage in evidence base advocacy with the stakeholders to expand services.
